After I have ever published the lists of some airports for Java Region, now, I will tell to all, the lists of some airport that are in Sumatra Island. Sumatra, as I know, don’t too populous island compare than Java because this island is more big than Java and some big cities in here is not too many if compare than big cities in Java Island. May you haven’t known yet about few big cities that are in Sumatra Island, like: Medan (the capital city of north sumatra), Palembang (the capital city of south sumatra), Pekanbaru (the capital city of Riau), Padang (the capital city of west Sumatra), Batam (capital city of Riau Islands), and many others.

I feel, many tourists from worldwide haven’t known yet about some airports that are in Indonesia. Because of that, I will explain you little information about it:

Indonesia has many international airport in some region (it usually called province). And every province has a capital city. For example: Province West Java with capital city of Bandung. The airport usually located in each capital city, and I know, you at least know the name of any cities that are in Indonesia like Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan, Bandung, Denpasar, Palembang, Yogyakarta, and many others.

Do you know the Bali airport? If you don’t know yet, this is the right time for you to start reading the simple and little information about the Ngurah Rai International airport, Bali. Ngurah Rai International Airport, also known as Denpasar International Airport, is located in southern Bali, 13 km south of Denpasar, the capital city for Bali Island. It is Indonesia’s third-busiest international airport, after Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and Surabaya’s Juanda International Airport. The airport is located close to the extensive tourist developments of southern Bali; the resort center of Kuta is 2.5 km north of the airport.

This airport is collecting an Airport Improvement Fee of Rp 150,000 per traveler (approximately $17 USD / €12) upon departure. Passengers have to pay cash in Rupiah. And the additional, many international travelers also have to pay for an entry visa on-arrival. This costs US$10 for a 7 day stay, and US$25 for a 30 day stay and must be paid in cash. The visas are non-extendable and cannot be converted. There are also a number of countries that require a visa to be organized before arrival, or do not require a visa at all. This is applicable to Indonesia in general and is not specific to Bali.
