Ngurah Rai International Airport, also known as Denpasar International Airport, is located in southern Bali, 13 km south of Denpasar, the capital city for Bali Island. It is Indonesia’s third-busiest international airport, after Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and Surabaya’s Juanda International Airport. The airport is located close to the extensive tourist developments of southern Bali; the resort center of Kuta is 2.5 km north of the airport.
This airport is collecting an Airport Improvement Fee of Rp 150,000 per traveler (approximately $17 USD / €12) upon departure. Passengers have to pay cash in Rupiah. And the additional, many international travelers also have to pay for an entry visa on-arrival. This costs US$10 for a 7 day stay, and US$25 for a 30 day stay and must be paid in cash. The visas are non-extendable and cannot be converted. There are also a number of countries that require a visa to be organized before arrival, or do not require a visa at all. This is applicable to Indonesia in general and is not specific to Bali.
